Memorial Day

After getting home from Florida with a lot of purchases from the outlet stores here are a few items from my loot! A few coordinate for Memorial Day! 

The skirt and clutch are both from JCrew outlet and the shoes are TOMS crochet that I found on Sanibel Island! But, my suitcase was bustin at the seams with new purchases! 

A girl's gotta get her shop on...but now I'll be paying it off for the next few months... :)

Can't end today without thinking of thanking all of the service men and women who have served and who will serve in the future for our freedom so we can enjoy days like today! Those who have given their life for our country will always be remembered.

I just had to go to one of my favorite places to get a slice of one of the best cakes on this planet!

The other night this commercial came on TV and after it was over my dad said,"Lauren, that is you! Are you going to go blog about it now!?" And I truthfully said,"Uhh...yeah!" 

This commercial relates to all of us...you know you do it!

Friday's Fancies {Chambray Love}

Chambray: Such a great fabric to wear this season! It's light and airy and goes with just about any thing you pair it with! Seems like a problem-solver piece to own!

I own a dress/outfit similar to the top creation, but will absolutely be adding more to my wardrobe this season! 

Garden Party

With spring in the air and summer just around the corner, I am wanting a home project to spruce up my drab backyard! The day I first looked at my house on my house-hunting, I imagined a cute little patio to have guests over for summer nights and fun get-togethers! I have yet to make that happen, but think I may do it in the next month! I have a few ideas for decor and just need the big portion of laying the patio and planting some trees to hide the neighbors! No one wants nosey neighbors peeking in on all the fun! The fun stuff will be planting the pretty colorful flowers {never dreamed I'd ever say that!} and adding twinkle lights, tiki torches, and colorful cushions for the furniture! 

Can't wait to have my first party...Cocktials for all!

Nurse's Week

Happy Nurse's Week to all my amazing nursey friends! I have met so many amazing nurses throughout my life who have made me the nurse I am today! From the friends I made in nursing school, my co-workers over the past 5 years of my career (past & present), and my family of nurses (my mother, aunt, 2 cousins and now my sister!)

To all of you just starting your nursing career, it can be tough at times, but worth it and you will grow and become a strong person a better nurse from all you encounter!

im in love...with the maxi

Last summer I bought a couple maxi dresses and absolutely lovvveed them! So, this summer, I'm buying more! I've already bought two for the season. You may have already seen the photos! These long flowy beauties are heaven and so comfy. How amazing?! They are perfect! 

Not only are they all the things I just said, but they cover my pale legs until I get some color-never will I know what it's like to have a "great natural tan." It's a job for me to get any kind of color.

I just use the spray in desperate times for that, but all summer, I can cover up and look fab all at the same time. GENIUS. 

I hope they never go out of fashion, or you can best believe I'll be the one wearing them when they are long out of style. I'll be the girl stuck in 2012...in 2020. {Like the women with hair from the 70's} No joke.

And for all you preggo mamas, it's perfect little cute dresses, and how easy & comfortable!? If I were preggo, I'd stock up! Well, I'm stocking up anyways!
