Jet-setting

I have the next week off from work and I decided I'm using the days wisely & head...

HERE:

 The weather at home is rainy and cold with dropping temps. So, I'm excited to get in a week of sun, sand, and warmer temperatures just before the mean winter hits. 

Luckily, I don't have to take any vacation time and will get to recover from the previous 6 nights in a row I just worked. Shew...exhausting! 

This nursing schedule is has it's pluses and minuses. 

{Working 6 in a row...minus. A week off without taking vacation time...PLUS.}

My friend Emily is meeting me for a few days! It will be nice to vacay with her and catch up since she lives in a different city.

I won't have internet there, so I'll be absent from blogging and reading any as well :( Hope everyone has a great week! See you all Thanksgiving weekend!

Beach! Here I Come!

I'm headed to the beach in a few hours, yes HOURS and I have yet to finish start packing. And I'm a habitual OVER PACKER! I say every trip I'm going to pack less. But, this time I'M SERIOUS! I'm going to pack the bare minimum {in my extra-large suitcase}, making sure I leave room for some purchases! You know this is a must!.

I plan to have internet access while I'm away the next 2 weeks to keep in touch!

Allllllll week at work I have carried a list {or 3} in my pocket and added to it them, things I need to pack, go shopping for, and music I need to add to my ipod for my road trip to Miami--->then to board the ship! Yes, we thought it would be fun to drive all the way to MIA and back...we will be kicking ourselves next Sunday when we step off the ship and have a lonnnnnnnggggg drive home. 

 Destination: Caribbean Islands!

I have an 8 hour orientation today to the new hospital that UK is building in which my unit is moving into at the end of May. So at 11 pm tonight my work week is officially over and vacation Professional Leave for Nursing seminar trip begins! {And so do the multiple errands I have to run} 


Why before trips, do I soooooooo much shopping to do, when I have plenty to get ready with at home now!? Maybe it's just me?! HaHa!
