Snaggle-ear

I'm a bad mom. I don't brush Stella's hair. She HAATTEESS it. Would you believe me if I told you I can't hold her down long enough to brush any part of her? She squirms so much and I just can't hold her!

So, a couple weeks ago I found a HUMONGO tangle in her left ear hair. There was no de-tangling that wad of hair. I couldn't take her to the groomer with that, so I had to cut it out. After I cut it out, she had some longer hair still hanging down. She looked like a homeless dog,

I show you the "snaggle-ear"

I was so embarrassed to take her to the groomer. I fessed up and told them I hadn't brushed her and she had a big knot of hair that needed to be cut out. The lady actually agreed with me and said the smaller dogs are harder to hold and brush. Thank you! I'm not crazy for not being able to hold down a 5 1/2 pound dog.

5 1/2 lb dog vs Lauren.
She wins.

After the Beauty Shop spa pampering day.
She's no longer a homeless looking dog, and she has short, even ears now.

  2. Awwwwww, Stella pup! I am also guilty of not brushing paisley like I should... When she was 15-20 pounds it was SO much easier than it is now that she is 50!! So maybe that means somewhere in the mid-range weight is maintainable??
