Friday's Fancies {Kentucky Derby}

This week's Friday's Fancies was a NO BRAINER! Being from the Horse capital of the world, and living only 1 hour from the Derby city, of course I am going to choose the Derby option! DUH! Girls, the Derby is a formal and unique experience! The ladies dress in their gorgeous hats and start planning their entire ensemble around their FAB. hat. The hat tradition is so awesome. It's so neat to see all the extravagant hats!

I've only been to the Derby once--to the infield, which is a totally different experience. It's the informal, wild party.

I can't wait until I get to go the Derby and sit in an actual box an dress up and be fancy!

    Yay for Derby!! My favorite is the Oaks Lily drink :) We are going to both Oaks and Derby this year...pray for no rain!

    how much fun that you've been to the derby! to be honest, the infield party looks like it may even be a little bit more fun than the 'dressy festivities' - and the pic of you drinking the mint julep has made me realize i have GOT to try that drink (and can't believe i haven't already).
